They can also support one politcal party or the other whether publicly or covertly with large amounts of money thus advancing their own political ideals.

They don't have to use this power but that does not mean that it doesn't exist. Like I said the measure of a man is what he does with this power or money. On the other hand Presidential Cantidates regularly spend millions of dollars to get elected to a job that pays $400,000 a year if not for power then why, and who could aspire to that kind of power if they did not have those millions to spend or the conections to those who do.

----------------------------

Steven:

Having power does not mean one LOVES power. Having money does not mean one LOVES money. George Washington had power, but he never loved it. He stayed away from it as soon as he could. American virtue means Americans do not love power. They understand that power must be under God. Without moral principles and directions, power can only be evil, period. I said does he want money? she said money always follows power and evil understands this. I said that I never want power over anyone. I want everyone to be free and I still want that! however I am learning that people uniting for good and not evil can defeat evil and use the power wisely for the good of all. That is what the tea parties are all about and we must not allow evil to enter amongst us.

------------------------

Reply by sprout

Steven, power and money are not the same, one doesn't always lead to another. There are lot of people with money but live a low key life style, and there are people in the community with influence, such as a clergyman may not be that rich. Again it's up to the individual who has either of the entities decide how they want to use it, for good or evil or nothing.Kai Chennoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3221684858728352705.post-2732883221242739802011-02-23T09:51:33.995-08:002011-02-23T09:51:33.995-08:00Steven Paxton Reply:

Hope you read "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand.

You don't have to have money to pursue power, as long as you deceive enough people, as Obama and Clinton did. Power often is acquired by the number of people you can gather around you. Many rich people in America have never been interested in power. They have never run for public offices, such as Bill Gates, J. Paul Getty and many others. You need to have some honesty and courage to admit this truth. Of course individuals can be good (Carnegie) or evil (Soros).

you will find that the truth is often opposite of what you are taught in schools and by your governments.

I feel capitalism gives everyone a chance to achieve life goals if you have the tenacity and courage, as immigrants like yourself has done. Which means everyone can be rich if they want to. But communism/socialism only allow the leader to be wealthy, they crush human spirits and self-reliance, as Obama puts it, it's based on global salvation, a Borg society.

Good post, Kai.Sproutnoreply@blogger.com
